Perhaps the poor work is a result of worker having no training to perform certain tasks. Typically coworkers don't expect much from these employees and everyone is demoralized because of it. You might even find yourself battling legal charges if the worker feels that your termination was discriminatory or that your lay off did not have a solid basis.
Even if you are glad to see a problem worker leave, you need to take their comments seriously. The embezzlers feel there is a wide gap between their interests and the interests of their employers. At the end of the dismissal meeting, the form should be complete and both parties should fully understand why the dismissal occurred. 2) State directly you're terminating the jobholder and the effective date.
